1.
Is there anything for you Left here on this Earth? Are you stuck in agony Been like that since birth There ain’t nothing left to do Your options are clear Keep on dealing with the pain Or give in to your fear Chorus: Ain’t it about time you killed yourself? Are you out of energy? Can’t get out of bed Do you fantasise about A barrel to your head? Tried so hard to find your place Tried hard to fit in But it simply don’t work that way Your patience running thin
2.
Do you toss and turn When you sleep at night? Can’t escape your conscience Can’t escape what’s right Do you struggle with living An ordinary life? That lingering temptation Within your brain is rife Do you feel oh so empty Oh so empty inside? Had enough of this anguish This rollercoaster ride Do you wonder how peaceful How peaceful dying would be? Are you restrained by fear Of a fate you can’t see?
3.
Guilty 03:02
Constant insanity invades your mind Look to tomorrow, pain is all you’ll find Nightmarish visions of your foul misdeeds Unsettling bedtime stories your brain reads Can you feel the weight of the guilt on your heart? Have you turned into this or was it from the start? There’s no good reason for you not to die Do you think they can see the the evil in your eye?
4.
A Bloody End 03:18
You are one pathetic worm Look at you writhe, look at you squirm You deserve nothing more than pain Fire off a bullet through your brain Chorus: Isn’t it time you fucking died? A bloody end, a suicide Isn’t it time for you to go? Gun to your head, skull fragments blow What a pathetic waste of air If you were gone no one would care Go do the world a fucking favour Eat shit and die, don’t mind the flavour
5.
Fuck everything that you have become To gruesome suicide you shall succumb A noose around your neck, the only way To stop your worthless life lasting another day Take a good look around at what you call a life Causing a tidal wave of pain and fucking strife Wouldn’t this world be nice without your life within? Bullshit is suicide a goddamn fucking sin… Chorus: The answer lies in the grave and the fire Your qualms relieved within the funeral pyre Take action now and join the ranks of the dead “I’m gonna kill myself” is what you fucking said
6.
Burn In Hell 02:59
You have become what you hate the most You’re just a demon in a human host Does somebody like you deserve a life? You ought to go and grab the nearest knife A subhuman, a broken man, a piece of shit A pile of trash, a fucking wreck, a hypocrite You don’t deserve to see another day For what you’ve done you ought to fucking pay Chorus: BURN IN HELL!!! How can you live with the things you’ve done? Don’t speak of morals because you have none You walk around like a normal guy Knowing full well that you ought to fucking fry
7.
This is the voice that you ignore inside your head The one that tries to talk you into dropping dead It calls from far beyond this life, it’s from the grave What’s left of your pathetic life to even save? This is the call of the mortal deceased It shall continue until your life has ceased This is the call of the mortal dead Try to suppress it or embrace it instead Chorus: How can it be? It’s so enticing The very act of self-sacrificing How can it be? It’s so inviting The prospect of no longer fighting How can it be? You haven’t died That’s not to say you haven’t tried How can it be? You’re still alive Don’t know how long you will survive This is the darkness that lies within Ignoring concepts of mortal sin It beckons you to step into the void And leave behind the life that you’ve destroyed This is the call of the mortal damned Saying goodbye, the door behind you slammed This is the call of the mortal doomed An absent soul your lifeless corpse entombed
8.
Verse 1: One day hellfire will take you And it shall burn through your soul Leaving you reaching for your heart Only to find a black hole And as the hellfire burns Washing away your sins You’ll look around at everyone you know And realise no one wins (UGH!!!) Verse 2: Eternal hellfire burns This is the fate of mankind No God above and no heaven Only Hell you shall find Eternal hellfire burns Leaving no trace behind Of what is pure and is sacred Lucifer’s hate is blind (UGH!!!) Breakdown: Eternal hellfire burns This is the fate of mankind Eternal hellfire burns Lucifer’s hate is blind
9.
What’s the point in going on Living a life like this? Everybody makes it seem Like a piece of piss What’s the point in trying hard Should you even care? Suicide is always calling so Answer if you dare Do you want to keep on living Life in such a way? Isn’t it miraculous You’re standing here today? Do you want to keep on fighting And see how you fare? Suicide is always calling so Answer if you dare

Hermaeus - all music & production

Other than the tambourine sound on track 9, no MIDI or synths were used on this album. Recorded on my iPad as usual.

Been extremely productive so far this year, probably in reaction to the events that have been unfolding. Miraak has always been an outlet for me to express myself during the more chaotic times in my life. I plan on releasing music more frequently if I can keep this momentum going. The idea for my next album is currently to create a black metal album for summertime, still as raw and depressive as my other music but warmer, more atmospheric, contemplative and exploring a deeper range of emotions perhaps. I might go in a different direction, we shall soon see… in the meantime, as always, I really hope you like this album as much as I do and stay tuned for the next one.
